The differences between male and female
anatomy may play a part in how we
experience desire.

OUTIES; The limelight-loving penis is the sexual
organ that attracts the most attention, primarily
because it peeks its head up to be admired,
signalling, often in not too subtle ways,
“I’m here; pay attention to me!”

When a man sees something sexy or thinks a sexual
thought, his body is pre-programmed to react
automatically with an erection — often even
before he is conscious of his desires.

A woman has similar programming with
her vagina lubricating and the vulva swelling.

But there’s a big difference between
genders in what happens next.

A man can see his erection, and his eyes send a
signal to the conscious part of his brain with
the message, “Look, I’m aroused!”

Since a growing erection is associated with pleasure,
this visual cue creates a positive feedback loop
that encourages conscious sexual desire — the more
he senses his erection, the more desire he feels.

Even if he can’t ‘see’ the erection, he can often
get tactile feedback from his penis as it touches
or presses against his clothing.

As long as other factors (such as anxiety) don’t
get in the way, more cues beget more sexual desire.

INNIES: This feedback loop
lies in stark contrast
to the “Inny Sexual
Organs” of women.

The vagina can barely be seen without a mirror,
wetness can be difficult to notice, and the shy
clitoris actually becomes less obvious (by hiding
beneath the clitoral hood) when aroused.

The reality is that women don’t always see or feel
the overt arousal cues that can fuel sexual desire.

Getting the Most
from Deep Penetration

Most women don’t find deep penetration
comfortable or pleasurable if they’re not roused.

During arousal the vagina not only lengthens,
but the cervix actually rotates upward and
out of the way of the penis.

If a woman isn’t roused deep penetration will
likely occur in the penis pounding into her
cervix, which most women don’t enjoy.

The missionary position isn’t the best for
deep penetration, but you can still do pretty
well if you position her legs properly.

Spread them wide open and push her knees up
to her chest. It depends on her flexibility.

Better still put her legs over your
shoulders or she hooks your arms behind
one or both knees to hold them up.

Why do some women like deep penetration? Perhaps
longer penises may provide cervical stimulation.

It turns out that the cervix may be an important and
largely unacknowledged pleasure source for some women.

Brain-scans show a region of the brain
known as the genital sensory cortex lights
up when a woman’s cervix is stimulated.

This same brain region also becomes active when
the vagina, clitoris, and nipples are stimulated,
suggesting the cervix adds to female sexual pleasure.
