Women Watch Porn Too

Porn for women has
less focus on penetration

The sex is more connected, often story-driven,
or softer.

There is a focus more on sex where there
is a lot of foreplay, kissing, connection.

The lighting is brighter and there’s
more space. The men are more conventionally
attractive and the women are more natural.

Lesbian Porn

Why are we constantly warned about porn addiction?
Sex is a very natural function. What is an abnormal
level of sex to have or to want?

If a woman takes two minutes to orgasm to porn,
and she’s doing it, say, 10 times a day,
that’s still only 20 minutes a day.

We can forget the idea that women are clutching
their pearls and tut-tutting over men’s
shameful, disgusting porn habits.

Today’s young women are heading over to free tube
sites for a ‘milf lesbian milkshake’. Or whatever
sounds good on a laid-back Sunday.

Why is lesbian porn is so popular,
especially among straight women?

Some women just don’t find pumped-up male actors attractive,
while others were more into “the making out and dry-humping,”
instead of the hetero porn that “goes straight to blow-jobs.

When there are two women in the frame, the focus is on
a woman’s pleasure (i.e., “hardcore pussy licking”)
even if it’s still done from the gaze of a male director.

Reasons

‘Most straight porn is all about getting the man off,
focusing on the naked body of the woman and her face.
Give me some abs and a nice bum any day of the week.’

‘Het porn is just grim… The twisted power dynamics are
a massive turn off but much less present in gay porn.’

‘I exclusively watch gay male porn because I was
uncomfortable with the level of violence and shit-
talking directed at women in hetero porn.’

How Real Is Lesbian Porn?

Is there a link between the rise in the number
of young women who self-identify as lesbian or
bisexual, and the increasing normalization and
acceptance of pornography in the lives of young men?

Sapphic Erotica

Young women are accused of many things. As little girls, they may be tossed aside as frivolous or overly-imaginative. As teenagers, they suffer dramatics and are desperate for attention, and as young adults in college, they are prone to phases and promiscuity.

Bisexual women are often cast aside as lesbians in denial or straight girls “going through” something. This is such an observed phenomenon that the moniker L.U.G. (Lesbian Until Graduation) threatens to follow any woman who explores her sexuality in college.

Why are bisexual women so desired? In “lesbian” porn, the actresses typically perform for a third, presumably male viewer.

The inclusion of this male consumer is not necessarily limited to lesbian porn, but because the genre allegedly centers on a sapphic-erotic world, it becomes an awkward love triangle when men are encouraged to sit in and watch.

As delusional lesbians execute sexual acts through an erotic lens, the porn is about pleasing the male voyeur, more so, at times, than the female partner in the scene.

If the heterosexual formula for pornography requires one sexy girl, then two must be even better. The male voyeur places himself in the porn, living vicariously through the active female partner.

He can watch sexual acts occur without any danger of seeing a competitor male’s genitals. His straightness is left intact, ironically, through viewing gay porn.

This is damning to realistic interpretations of bisexual women. By the pornographic standard, lesbians and bisexual women are sexually receptive to straight men in the event of a threesome.

There’s a perception of female sexuality that writes homosexuality and bisexuality off as nymphomania and inherently male-centric.

This results in the demeaning of female bisexuality as an invalid phase and leads a straight male to mistakenly read into every woman’s sexuality as a cry for his attention. Bisexualising lesbians becomes a dangerous assumption.

For most of human history, perhaps 2% of women have been lesbian or bisexual. Not any more. Recent surveys of teenage girls and young women find that roughly 15% of young females today self-identify as lesbian or bisexual, compared with about 5% of young males who identify as gay or bisexual.

Why isn’t there any serious discussion of the growing number of girls who self-identify as lesbian or bisexual? Why are young women today at least three times more likely than their brothers to identify as bisexual or homosexual?

Is there a connection between the rise in the number of young women who self-identify as lesbian or bisexual and the increasing normalization and acceptance of pornography in the lives of young men?

Maybe there is. A young woman told me how her boyfriend suggested she shave her pubic hair so that she more closely resembled the porn stars who were his source of sexual arousal.
